Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger announces final schedule of events

Registration nearing capacity; Health & Fitness Expo to be held April 21-22


RICHMOND, VA – The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger makes a highly-anticipated return to its traditional in-person event format on Saturday, April 23. The event is nearing its participant capacity of 20,000, with registration for the limited remaining spots available at www.sportsbackers.org.

Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger returns April 23This year’s event will be the first time it has been held in person since 2019, with virtual and hybrid versions of the event taking place in 2020 and 2021. The 10k marks its 23rd running in 2022, and over 550,000 participants have taken part in that time. The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k will again serve as the Collegiate Running Association (CRA) 10k Road Race National Championship, with several thousand collegiate runners participating in the race and competing for $3,500 in prize money provided by the CRA to the top collegiate finishers.

Packet pick-up and walk-up registration for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k and Atlantic Union Bank 10k Mini is available at the Health and Fitness Expo, held at Richmond Raceway in the Main Expo Hall, on Thursday, April 21, from 2 p.m.-8 p.m., and Friday, April 22 from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Expo attendees should enter Richmond Raceway using Gate 4 off of Laburnum Avenue. Free parking is available at the Expo. All participants must show a photo ID or their registration QR code that was sent to them to pick up their packet. Expo attendees may pick up another registered participant’s packet but must bring a copy or picture of that participant’s photo ID or their registration QR code.

Race-day registration will also be available on Saturday, April 23, from 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. It will take place in the Siegel Center, adjacent to the start line at Broad St. and Harrison St. A full schedule of events for the 2022 Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger can be found below, or at https://www.sportsbackers.org/events/monument-ave-10k/10k-schedule/.

7 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.            Dress Up & Run Contest check-in (north side of Broad Street, near Goshen St. and Hancock St.)

7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.      Bike Valet service available on Franklin Street near Pine Street

7:30 a.m.                            Blessing of the Runners at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
